Installed mine on my 318is yesterday with the help of this thread.

Yeah they do work! I know what you mean though, they're kinda supposed to look messy though like the ones on rally cars. The rears especially, I think I'll adjust them and it'll look a little better, I did half-assed job with the rears haha.
