M-technic II Cabrio with trunk spoiler - Aye or Nay?

I have gone with Mtech1 in the rear and maybe I will add Jack's splitter. The Mtech2 is just a little too big for me. For now I have the third tail light but I will pick up an early trunk lid without one before the final paint goes on for a smoother look. Here's a picture of the rear of my car.

Slick trunk only.
If your going to add a wing spoiler, then I feel the M-Tech 1 keeps that flow going fairly smoothly & is balanced by the lip spoiler on the front.
(disclaimer added - the 3rd brake light was mandated by the Feds & could be the source for a "fix it" ticket to replace the "wart". If you kept your OEM deck lid & replaced it with any coupe/sedan lid, then it's an easy "fix it". If you removed the brake light & did a weld/fill/paint on the OEM trunk deck, it gets more involved & more expensive.)
Think of it this way, how many of you have 2 or more sets of wheels?
Having 2 truck decks isn't that bad !!!![I

I concur with Levent that an Italian (3rd) brake light M-tech II rear spoiler would work well with an M-tech II vert with a shaved decklid brake light. Particularly because the tech IIs have US sidemarkers front and rear; might as well embrace the look and added safety of all those extra lights ;)
But, since a re-spray is in my future, I'm considering shaving the sidemarkers along with the 3rd brake light and adding a regular M-tech II wing. Then I'd basically be emulating Jonsku's car, minus the side repeaters and all that bad-ass drivetrain work, etc...

my vote is for the M tech 1 just because it extends the look of the trunk further compared to the regular e30 rear spioler..."I was thinking of shaving the 3rd brake lights on my vert too"!1991 325i coupe

What did the e30 owner say to the other e30 owner? LOOKING GOOD!

No spoiler, rear headrests, no 3rd brake light, nothing but net. Anxious to see how you build this one up, Rob. Someday we might actually meet in person, too. :)
