Nice write up... thanks!!
saw mkcman's in person and it looked pretty awesome, very close to an is lip.
im going to attempt to mount one right side up though looks better IMO. only getting this lip because its gonna get beat up so i would rather spend 15 bucks to replace instead of 120 bucks.
not sure why people hate on these, so what if its 10-15 bucks if done right it doesnt look too bad.Leave a comment:

love the car, but either take that plate off or put it back in its proper location.Leave a comment:

i didn't want any holes to show, plus my way makes it easily detachable. ask me how i know...haha.Leave a comment:

i used a pocket knife and cut tiny holes in it that lines up with the original holes in the valence to mount it.. seems a lot easier to mount it using that method,
But if you like the iS lip and not the flare of the volvo lip do it this way, more power to yaLeave a comment:

i feel like some people aren't even reading the op..
after a year, lip still holds strong.

Yea, still don't get the hate on the volvo lip... Some cars look great, some like trash. I like how mines cut though, so it doesn't do a crazy flair-out at the sides.Leave a comment:

I have a volvo lip on my 318!
and alot of gravel on the shop floor because it seems that the lip turned into a shovel as I backed it in

Because there are no mounting clips whatsoever, and I wanted it to be sturdy.Leave a comment:

after you cut it why didn't you just put the bottom half on the car?
seems kind of pointless to me, but I like my volvo lip with ix flares. I could see it not looking right on a regular i or e thoughLeave a comment:

First you have to trim the inner part. Make sure you dont trim it too much. I trimmed and driver side too much so I have no space put a bolt through. You cant notice it much but it comes out a bit. I started by aligning the front part, secured it on with some nuts, bolts and washers. Used some muscle and bent it to align it with the curve of the bumper, quickly marked the holes, drilled it and bolted it down.

I think they actually look really good when mounted right-side-up.Leave a comment:
