    eurostyle ebay stuff

If i remember right eurostyle makes crappy fibberglass shit. Now i havent heard much about the rear valence. on the ebay picture they have it looks to fit good(if thats there product.) has anyone had any luck wiht the rear valences? I am in great need of covering up my dented in rear valence. from what i have found anything will need quite a bit of work done at a body shop to fit. So pretty much what i am asking is were can i find a good deal on a RD or good RD style rear apron. thanks

The rear Mtech II Full valence or just the under bumper thing.

The biggest problems with Fils Mtech kit that Jase had was that the sidepanels were very wavy/crooked etc. But after Jase hopped his car over a curb he did buy another front end of eurostyle so..

A few people over on maxbimmer.com have the front lower mtech II and rear lower mtech II pieces and they fit pretty good other than the slight shortness in the sides that is apperently something that happens with mtech stuff underneath plastics.

If you want I can search for some threads/pics later when I am not at work.

    Sold it.

Hey makes fiberglass stuff, like most fiberglass/replica stuff, fit is not perfect.

There are a few pics on Max of the rear valence on an iX. I've seen it in person, and it looks good. Its good for wat it is i guess, a rear add on, thats pretty cheap.

FWIW, I don't think Fil does Ebay sales. That's another company.

And yeah, it's FG, it'll probably need some trimming to fit like OEM. I've seen the front and rear M-tech II pieces being literally slid onto cars though, those pieces seem pretty damn accurate.

Seems Fil has really gotten the hang of making consistently good fitting pieces today.

I have the rear add-on for my car. I'd say go check out the PNW meet pics in members rides for a picture of the apron but I didn't have time to get it installed before the meet :( I have one of his front bumpers and sideskirts on in the pictures, though.

The apron fit on very nicely. The only trimming I had to do was hollowing out the inside fender edge so it would fit flushly. To fit the rear apron properly the rear tow-hook has to be cut or the apron has to be modified to fit over it. The finish of the piece was excellent with very few waves. The only problem I ran into was that the top edge (under the bumper) had quite a few air bubbles in it near the surface and when I eventually sanded through the DP90 sealcoat the bubbles broke the surface. They were all small enough to be filled with spotputty so no big deal there.

And yes, it is Eurostyles stuff on ebay, sold by Phil himself.

As for shortness of sides do you mean the plastic bumper not reaching far enough forward to meet the edge of the apron? If so then yes, my car had this problem. I did the plastic bumper swap on my car and the rear bumper cover was sitting back from the fender arch nearly 3/8". Quickly solved by drilling, positioning, then tacking the shocks in place.

Let me know if you need to know anything else.

            -Dan

yeap, thats on my car. Its weird, the valences line up with the ix flares, but the plastic bumper runs a little bit short. Either way looks very nice, and could be trimmed down to line up with the bumper.

My car will be in the shop for paint next week. (And to fix that saggy muffler) And I'll put up some good pics so you guys can get a better idea. Definately looks 100x better than the stock valence.

The M-Tech II has a slight outer edge like that. Its supposed to match to the M-Tech II bumper cover line, rather than the regular plastic bumper line...
