Any of u fitted an M-Tech II front spoiler b4?

If you have then you know about the 5 clips that attach the top of the metal valence to the top of the spoiler. Unfortunately, I drilled the holes about .5-1mm too close to the car so the clips do not clear the lip of the valence.....the result is they will not lock onto the M-Tech II spoiler....well I did get 2 of them placed correctly but the others are not.

Any ideas on how to fix this? Like how to fill the wrongly placed drilled holes so I can drill new holes, etc? Also, will the spoiler stay on as long as 2 of the clips are attached correctly and the side screws are attached to sides of the metal valence? It feels pretty firm but I'd hate for the spoiler to come off at speed

    Any ideas would be helpful.

I would talk to Eric Lukas, I think he installed his kit.

        Chris,
I think I understand your situation but I am not positive. Do you have enough room to scew a metal plate with the holes you messed up on and then redrill through the metal plate for your new correctly measured holes. Or I am not sure how large the holes are,or how much room you have behind the metal but, you could use metal self tapping drywall anchors and line them up so your screws fit.....

Thanks for the metal plate idea....never thought of that!! I used dry wall anchors to fix one of the holes but it's probably still not the most secure fit.

BTW, how are your engine mods getting along?

Glad I could help, must be the Architecture background.......Funny thing several years ago my buddies e36 radiators plastic connection snapped off so I cut a sleeve that slid on the inside of the connector and slid the broken piece over the sleve, rivited it on both sides and JB welded it. It is still working with no worries. As for my mods go, as you know I just bought the K25 for the 323i and once the car is done and restored I plan to go with a rebuilt M50 2.8 route and SC in the ic. I may just build a stroker and be done with it. How is your car?
