Looking good in the winter? Good Idea?

    Or bad Idea??
I have these BMW Steel wheels with OEM BMW silver hubcaps & new yoko guardex 600 snows....
HMMMM Should I sell the tires/wheels for cash with my old pirelli wintersport 190 tires (swap onto the steels & keep the new Yoko snows)
I'd be selling the steels with hubcaps for these 14 inch rage Euro wheels
These would be the ones I want to buy for winter rims:
Discount Tire Direct is retiring, but check out our partners at Tire Rack! With tires and wheels for virtually every vehicle make and model, Tire Rack is your new source for the best prices and selection for online and mail-order purchases.

here are the hubcaps and snows on my dad's Ix that he just sold

I may keep the bmw steels and hubcaps...cos they look classic and were FREE
Getting new wheels that look better is just an "idea" rigth now..
    Any suggestions??

IMO, alloys look wak in 14in, 'cept basketweaves.....i say just stick with the stockies! thats what i roll on when im not on the 17s...fuck off the hubcaps tho, just roll on blacks(give them a lick of paint if needed). stick the hubcaps in the cupboard tho, cos they may be useful for resale.

That particular stle may not look too bad...Would look better than steel wheels with/without hubcaps. With my plan I would be agle to get enought $ by selling my steels/hubcaps to get the new 14 alloys.....hmm tough decision

        Jim-
you're leaving for school shortly anyways correct? Your car will be in the garage under a cover for most of the time you're away? I would just keep the steel wheels, and mount those. No sense buying wheels for winter when you wont drive it anyways.

Besides, take all those pennies and put them in the bank for the Alpina's

uhg... those rage wheels don't look bad, but at only 14".... they'll look REALLY goofy on the car... PLEASE save up for a better set

i try to live by the following rule - u gotta spend money to save money... there's a whole bunch of reasons why that statement can hold true, but in this case buy something you're gonna keep for a while & take care of... if u buy those rims, i'm pretty sure you won't want em for long

so my advice save your money & buy somethin you'll really be proud of

Yeah...Right I need to save for those Alpinas. :) I still am undecided what I should do. I don't even have my bottlecaps/pirelli snows anymore since I let my best freind use them on his 318is. we are not even freinds anymore, so I may never get my bottlecaps/snows back. If I did get them back, I probably would paint the whole rims black or try to do the black/silver lip paint job.
If not I'll be riding on steels with those caps this winter. (My dad wants me to drive my car this winter) I'm sure I'll get outta driving it in the winter..but there WILL be SOME days I have to drive in the winter.
That is only for this year tho. Once I grad college this stpring, I will prob buy another car for daily driving. At school I don't need to drive and don't really drive my e30. I put about 2-4 k miles a year on it. Last year It didn't move at all :(
