painted euro plate fillers, who's done it?

I have seen the red ones before, but it's my understanding that they come red and cost an arm and a leg. Just curious to see if anyone has painted theirs with good results?

they come black, the red ones are the reflective ones. They are anywhere from 50-100 depending on condition.

Unless you were going for a contrasting color scheme, why would you paint a part that covers the original paint?
