Trim paint?

Im in the process of getting the small things back on my car and wanted to paint my trim. My plan was to paint all the chrome window trim to black and paint the rest of the trim black as well. What is the best paint to use on the trim?

either SEM trim paint. or plasti-dip. plasti dip has a little more of a rubbery texture and it peels off like a sticker if you want to take it off.

I far prefer Dupli-color "Bumper Coating" to SEM. More durable and nicer color.

Duplicolor works fine for me (grills, shadow lining, bumpertrim) I did do my spoiler with plastidip. I plan on doing the lower part of the car in plastidip aswell.

wurth is good stuff, but i prefer to use duplicolor for 2 reasons.

1) with the right prep it sticks just as well and looks just as good as SEM
2) its available at advance autoparts which is right across the street from me, no online ordering for wurth, no long drive to the autopaint store for SEM

I think as long as you find something that works and use the same brand of trim paint on everything you paint youll be set.

prep work is the most important part, for bare metal parts like window trim make sure to use a primer (self etching is best)

I've had great success with SEM Trim Black (and for cloth and vinyl, SEM Color Coat). I've also used Duplicolor and thought it was good, but felt like I was getting better results with SEM. My experience.

I've used rustoleum matte black industrial enamel, looks amazing the color and finish looks great if you at least half ass your prep work.

A huge portion of what a finish looks like is in the prep work.

If you can find it, as I have no idea who makes it, this shit is tough, looks factory and on stuff like shadow lining your window trim it's amazing. I had issues when I ran a roof rack the SEM and Dupli-color bumper coating both rubbed off after removal. The "Speed-E-Namel" still looks good to this day.

Did you use gloss, flat or semi gloss? Should I redo all of the window trim or just the chrome perimeter?

Parts arrived today, and are clearly gray coating is injected in the front. I was told they would black plastic, and that simply is not true. I go directly to the masses, and honestly I have not heard otherwise.
