do these tail lights ever exist for my 87 cabby?

Tail lights are all the same whether it be coupe, sedan or cabrio. The only difference is between early model (86-88) and late model (89-91).

All they are is painted tails. Alot of people on here has done that. But you can put what ever tails you want in your car. Cause after all it is your car. But we will point and make fun of you if we dont like them haha.

I think you should honestly just stop now. If you can not figure out something as easy as determining the proper tail light for your car, I can't honestly image what if you had to do wiring.

any tails listed for 87 and older will fit physically. they make that style for both early and late (small and large). you will have to rewire your tail section for those though.
