    Windshield Locking Trim

Hi all. So I'm about to buy this off pelican parts for both my front and rear windshield but was wondering if I can reuse the joint caps that are already on the car or not. Does anyone know?

Also, is there anyone that sells these locking strips cheaper than them? Thanks in advance!

Err so I picked up my kit (which is a chrome trim) and I've read that people boil them in water to loosen the material when fitting it.

While I'm sure that's fine for black trims does anyone know if boiling a chrome trim would affect it's color at all?

I put mine on when it was dead cold. But a hair dryer would of helped if i was thinking at the time...
