PRE '86 sidemarkers

I've spent a ridiculous amount of time trying to find clear sidemarkers for my 85 eta. after 85 bmw switched to the long narrow markers, but im stuck with the fat ones. has anybody come across the clear fat markers? if not, does anyone have suggestions one how i could make a pair that dont look like crap?
