    pop-out windows to fixed-window

so my 86 eta coupe has rear pop out windows and one of them has a crack. I wanted to replace them both with fixed windows off a late model. only issue I see now is that chrome trim that is found on early models. my fixed windows have a blank trim, can a chrome trim be used on a late model fixed window?

on my late model fixed window car, that curved chrome piece is black and the window itself is slightly bigger than that of the pop-out window

I have never done this swap but was thinking of doing the reverse. Solid to pop-out. it is really hard to get the window out and in with the solid set up. there is a write up somewhere on this site which explains how too. But it is tricky... As for the window being larger it probably is because you don't have the added frame that the pop outs have. You only have a rubber gasket. this would explain the window being somewhat larger to compensate for no frame.
