ok, so it was a shot in the dark when I went with the lego look the first time around. I personally like it but I realize not for everyone. However, I just finished another job and this is what we decided with. some silver accents with the blue hoses but otherwise stealth.

That looks nice. What did you use to spray the intake manifold?

I had it crinkle powder coated. I believe it has a 20% gloss finish.

Looks good. You might consider sanding the fins and the BMW logo to give the valve cover a bit of contrast.

yeah, that was my first intention but since he's driving this through winter - yeah, can you believe it - I knew the polished fins would tarnish and oxidize, so I just left it this way for now. I can always take my palm sander to it later to give it a satin finish.
