    Trunk lid on Vert adjustment?

Hi guys, I have an 88 Cabrio, and mt trunk lid is sticking way up on the drivers side. (same side as single shock to hold it up)

Is there any way to adjust this? I tried adjusting those rubber feet on it, which made it better, but its still sitting pretty high. I even took of the shock to see if that was pushing it up, and it still looks the same.

The wierd thing is when I was looking for an e30, I looked at 3 other verts, and they all had the exact same issue. Some worse than others. I may try and adjust the striker latch down tonight to see if that helps.

Anyone other vert owners have this problem, or know how to fix it?

    Thanks

    Jay

I have that issue now, but it occurred after a buddy of mine on here and I swapped on an "is" trunk lid from a coupe onto my vert for my 3rd brake light delete mod. There is a shim on the passenger side between the lid and the arm, but none on the driver side. I will have to look at it closer and see what I need to do to fix it. If I figure it out, I will let you know.....

What you can do is on the driver side of the trunk lid where there are two bolts connecting the lid to the hinge arm, unbolt the upper bolt and use two washers between the hinge and the lid. Then put the bolt back in through the hinge THEN the two washers and tighten it down.

If it is still lifted, add another washer, if it is pressed two far down, remove a washer.

        Good luck.

adjust the hinge to body mounting point. you can access this through the top storage compartment. Just had to do this on my vert, easy to do, takes about 10 minutes.
