M Tech 1 Trunk Spoiler Install Questions

So I got a great deal on an M Tech 1 trunk spoiler off the local craigslist recently and am ready to install it after having the plastic insert painted by my body shop friend, but am wondering if anyone who has done this before can help.

I ordered six new mounting nuts (#6), six round sealing gaskets (#7), and L&R "foils" (10 & 11), which are just double sided adhesive pieces. I saved myself the $13.19 and skipped #9 and am using 3M adhesive since it's virtually the same thing and I had some lying around. Are these supposed to seal out water from in front of the bolts? I really don't want to apply the adhesive to the trunk side in case I ever have to remove it, so I'm thinking I'd just leave the protective paper on that side and adhere the pieces to the spoiler side. My question is where to exactly adhere these. There are raised ribs on the bottom of the spoiler and the end pieces fit into the recess on each side of the water channels, but then they also cover the mounting bolts on each end, so do I just poke a hole in them? If they're meant to seal out water, I'm thinking they would fit in front of the bolts. If that's the case, then where do the round sealing gaskets go, because they're a lot thinner than the adhesive pieces? I considered just not using the adhesive pieces altogether and just use the round sealing gaskets like my "is" spoiler, but it seems the gaskets would be too thin to seal w/o the adhesive pieces.

    Any help is appreciated fellas.

Just an FYI--I finally got the finished plastic spoiler insert back from the body shop today and mounted it. I ended up not using the double sided adhesive pieces at all and just used the six round gaskets that seal around the mounting bolts. Perfect.

Before I installed it, I came up with a good tip for not scratching the paint around the mounting holes in the trunk while lowering the spoiler into position. I just happened to have some leftover plastic tubing that I used for hooking up the ice maker for our frig and luckily it fit over the six bolts and also fit inside the trunk holes. It's 1/4" OD and I cut the pieces about 1 1/2" long so that I could pull them off with a needlenose from inside. This also helps align the spoiler correctly on the trunk.
