    Another shadow or chrome

My car is super-Arizona-grade-sunbleached delphin metalic. It's a 1988 325e with the huge chrome diving boards. I plan on shadowlining my shit so my question is, how do the diving boards look black on a silver e30 compared to chrome. Here is my car with the daffy duck boards.
Please don't mind the hideous rims and NO LOW. I just got it.

Pics of shadowed diving boards would be appreciated.

Shadow lined windows would look good but definitely leave the bumpers chrome.

I get asked about that all the time from anyone who sees that pictures. I don't know I think it was my neighbor's drug dealer or something. When I took those pictures I literally just parked it from purchasing it and the guy who owns the civic wanted me to sell it to him. HA! "And let you destroy it too, nah I'm good."

That dosen't look like Delphin to me sir......Mine wasn't that light. I could be wrong though.....shadowline looks good in my opinion. I did it on my '89 pb Delphin I had and it looked awesome. Just make sure you scuff the hell outta it with 1500 sandpaper so it will stick. Use SEM trim black to paint it. Might wanna take a look at that hood line on the front too. Looks a little outta whack. Good base to start with though. Congrats on the new acquisition and have fun with it!

Here is a pic of my old car. Wish I still had it......

Here is my current ride. Lots of stuff left to do on this one:

Believe me I was surprised to see the color code plaque too. Arizona sun for 20 years will destroy a car's paint.

How far out (inches) do the untucked diving boards stick out? Just looked at my diving boards and I'm not sure whether they've been tucked or not.

Looks like they havnt been tucked but I believe the 88 bumper shocks were shorter so it sticks out less than the earlier models.

I kinda thought that, cause I just saw a fellow r3ver's untucked diver boards and they looked ridiculous compared to mine.

Why not just convert to plastic bumpers?

I think divingboards look good with late model front and rear valances.

Yeah I'd like to keep the diving boards on them, kinda like the old school look they give.
