Someone set it straight for me

I know there are a billion threads started because of euro bumper conversions, and for some reason I still dont get it. Please someone set it straight for me, I have a 87 US spec 325is. What are my options to get rid of those blasted dbs?

Front is a direct bolt on. The rear requires two holes by the frame rails. This sounds dangerous but it really isn't. There are actually dimples in the body where you need to drill, and the mounts use the top holes so it's hard to mess up. There is a euro bumper thread on here with a detailed explanation of the install.

Euro bumpers are 87 and under, Plastics are 88 and up. Convertibles didn't get plastics until 91.

I would say if you are looking into the plastic route, check color matched euro bumpers. They compliment the early body better and look modern.

You could always paint your bumpers to match the body and tuck them....looks uber clean in my opinion. That is what I plan on doing to mine..

Ahhhh, gotcha. I lucked out on this car then. My 89 vert I acquired from my mother has the standard black crappy lip under the valance....
