    antenna grommet

hey guys I've gotta replace the rubber grommet on my antenna but the old one dry rotted and the base of it is stuck within the fender and I can't figure out how to remove it. can you get to the underside of the antenna, or can you remove the top part of it so I can remove the remnants of the old grommet and install the new one?

You need to remove the antenna mast, it will be easier to take off the gomet that way, once the antenna is out.

Then repeat the process in reverse to put back.

how do I remove the antenna mast? I tried unscrewing the top with a wrench (was 13mm) but it would only unscrew so much. I can't get the antenna itself to lift because I don't have the power antenna hooked up for the deck.

From the bottom, it's inside the trunk, you will need to peel the trunk linning on the drver's side and go to work.
