    eBay emblems, bad quality?

Im looking to find some fresh roundels for both my hood and my trunk especially. Just a question, how many of you actually bought replacements from eBay? Im not going to be buying any from there unless im low on money, but if someone on here did actually buy it from there, hows the quality?

They are pretty good, since most of us won't keep them for more than 5 years.

depends on the source. stay away from the super cheap ones. My wife got me replacements for my old car, and one of them was aligned about 30 degrees off straight when installed on the car. Pure crap....

The hood ones are easy to find on eBay for cheap ($10), even in good quality. Now, the tricky ones, and more expensive, are the trunk emblems. They're 86-88mm (non-M) in diameter and rounded, not flat. I just bought both from an eBay seller out of Japan. The quality seems to be really good. The cost was $44.88 for both.

Here is the link in case you're interested:

Genuine BMW roundels from the dealer or from Blunt are only about $50 for both.

I got my trunk off of ebay 4 years ago. I must have got a good one, it does its job. The blue is *slightly* off shade.

Blunttech is out of stock right now, and the dealer charges you more than that, at least here in Hawaii ($35 each roundel emblem)

I got mine from blunt when he was doing the sale through bmw. I'm sure if you hit him up he can probably get you some straight from Germany for a good price.

I got a set of them for about $8 each. Since the front and rears are the same generic shape, they don't quite seat in the rear properly. You would only notice if you get up close and look for it. The finish and quality are good. Certainly better than the 25 year old chipped and faded ones.

I got the cheap Chinese ones. They de-laminated in a little over a year.
