    fixed rear window removal

oki guys lookiing to prepare for a proper repaint in the coming months and need some help on getting these suckers out.

I see a DIY for removal of pop out windows but I'm not sure if they apply to fixed ones in the sense that these looked to be "pulled in" and held on via the seal.

Its not easy, but its not too bad either. You will need a friend.

Get yourself some trim tools. The window is held in with two nuts in the B pillar, then just by the rubber seal. Use your trim tool to work part of the seal out from the lip on the body, keep pushing out on the window so it doesn't pop back into place, work your way around the window until its out.

avoid pulling on the metal window trim, you will bend it.

Once the window is out you can easily take the metal trim off for a fresh coat of SEM. It just rides in a channel in the rubber. You'll see what I mean.
I don't always wreck cars, but when I do I wreck them into trees.
