Odd factory hole on euro valance

Mocking up euro valance and bumpers before I refresh these parts, there is this hole on both sides. Looks factory but I cannot figure out what it's for.

Anyone know what they are for?

    Thanks in advance
    Vinny

The euro valance has a large opening for the fog lights, the one you have is the normal hole on a US valance that really has no purpose. See my sig for the difference, that ones euro. Also the tow hook is in a different orientation in relation to the fogs.

Tow hooks are in the same spot on a euro and US valance.

here's my old US early style valance:

you can see the hole. i think it held the diving board bumper surrounds to the valance. you seem to have euro bumpers on the US valance making that hole show as the bumpers are smaller and rendering that hole useless.

You will now find connecting the turn signals to be a pain. Lol.
