    Plasti Dip everything

I am about to try plasti dip on my front and rear window trim, as well as the chrome moldings around the side windows. I wanted to see how many people have gone crazy with plasti dip cause I have an urge to refresh whatever parts I can.

You will be re-doing it in a year.

So its not long lasting then. Any luck with plastic trim paint? I am looking for something that will last at least longer than a year. I know paint can chip but at least I would like something more durable and non fading.

I did my iS lip in it. See sig. The stuff is awesome. It's more durable than paint in some regards and if it ever gets messed up you can just peel it off and the piece will be perfectly clean underneath so it's very easy to redo... unlike paint.
Just keep in mind that it's flat black not glossy, so use appropriately.

It may not last long, but it's cheap. So, redoing it might not be very big of a deal. If you hate the look, you can just peel it off.

Do what you want, but IMO plasti dip looks pretty bad.

The only thing that has held up decently is my front bumper, and that is because I laid hard into it. My rear bumper and window trim is faded and peeling.

I did my entire front window trim with it, and it's held up quite well. It also never gets touched, and I'm careful around it when I wash it. Doing the rear next, I just have to get up enough courage (and boredom) to mask off the entire area around it.

I did the inner-most ring of chrome trim on my car, and it's held up amazingly well everywhere but in the spots where I touch it the most. I have a tendency to close my door by holding the top corner of the door, and that's where it's worn off.

Shitty thing about PlastiDip is you can't touch up a spot where it wears off, you have to totally strip and re-do the whole smash. Silver lining to that is that it just peels off (for the most part).

Any overspray on your masking will cause the plasti dip to pull up in unwanted chunks when you pull the masking tape. I had much better success with SEM black trim paint, it looks totally oem and has held up well so far. $8 a can
