"is" trunk lip, held by screws or adhesive?

The car I picked up for some odd reason the trunk lip has just faded and so forth, I want to have it repainted and touch it back up so it looks GOOD!

The question now is it the trunk lip held down by adhesive or screws or both? I'd like to take it off, but I'm afraid it might be a PITA since it's almost 19 yrs old, haha.

Open the trunk and there are some bolts that hold it in place. Your spoiler won;'t come right off cause it does have some adhesive like double sided tape or at least I think it does.

      Mine pulled off with ease.

hmmm i'll have to check it out, but I really don't want to run a hair dryer through it and use teeth floss that that'll take forever!

If worst comes to worst what would you guys recommend to take the lip off if it's stuck on there?

It won't be stuck, just take off the nuts and it'll coem right off

If its double sided tape use fishing line, not dental floss.

You're half right. Just about everyone that I've ever taken off was also held on by some kind of sticky tape. But after 20 years, it's usually lost all it's adhesive, so they usually do come right off.

I wish mine would come right off. The previous owner decided to respray mine with the spoiler on the car still. So the spoiler is stuck to the car with bolts and paint.

I ripped one off a car primed and painted it and installed it on mine without any sort of patern or template for screw holes when I was 16... I think you should be able to handle it

On another note will the Mtech 2 wing bolt into the stock is spoiler holes on the trunk?

I'm pretty sure it uses the same hole pattern, ask Jordan to be sure.
