    Mtech1 sideskirt styles?

    Does anyone know if their are two styles of mtech 1 sideskirts? I was looking at mtech 1 cars and noticed a couple had different sideskirts, mostly the sedans.

    i do know that coupes and 4 doors have different skirts, coupes have the little upwards kick on each end that is flush with the wheel well on the fender.
    see as pictured below:

    IIRC four doors dont have the kicks on each end.

              I'm not sure what made the difference, but I know that I helped strip a 1987 original factory M tech I 4 door 325i last week and it had the ears on it.

              o.k., just found it. the ones without ears were made for the cars up to 3/86.

                so kindof on the same subject, there's also seperate part numbers for the euro bumper trim for mtech and non-mtech cars. Anyone have any ideas on that?

                  Yes, the non m-tech specific euro trim is for cars w/o the mtech valance attached to the bumper. The m-tech speicifc euro trim is for the cars with m-tech valance.

                  The difference is small, the non m-tech trim has a small lip/section that would need to be cut off if you install mtech valance.

                    From what I have heard no ear = 86
                    ear = 87
