Opinion - these ACS Type IIs easily fixed?

Any thoughts on whether these are fixable?

Doesn't look too bad, but I've bought wheels like this before (some old BBSs) and spent twice what I paid just having them restored/repaired.

Those can be fixed as long as you go to a reputible wheel repair shop but I would estimate the cost to be near $300+ for both wheels to be fixed and painted.

wheel halves are selling occasionally on ebay.de for over 300€ each. at that rate you should by a good set. Be afraid......or carry a big wallet.

You did well getting them off ebay. I was going to snipe those babies. Just to get two for that price is great. My plan was to get these and then buy some 17*10 from europe. You did well.

On my M6. Doing a driving school (at LRP in March, yipes!) and don't want to use the crappy TRX setup. Besides, I just replaced 2 rear tires for the TRXs at $221 each + shipping from Tirerack - they are metric so there is only one choice).

Here is the M6 when I bought it It was newly rebuilt when I got it, and just doing aesthetic stuff to it:

Thanks for the reference. I just emailed them pics of the repair. Its on the inside, so it shouldn't need to be repolished after welding.

Once I get them fixed, I'll let you know how it worked out. I'll also post some pics with them on (its on the stands right now).

Just picked up the wheels after repair/straightening. It took a few tries to find a place that could do it. The Wheel Shop in Windsor Locks CT did them. $125 each (just 2 needed it). Also got a couple new tires for $250. The wheels/tires cost $450 shipped. So final tally is about $1,000. Not cheap, but considering these wheels were $1700 each new, I'm pretty happy.

I'll post some pics next week when they go on the car.

Thanks Chris, but my trx's are all in good shape and have new rubber. Not that I plan on using them anymore now that I have the ACS's!
