    Mtech 1 spoiler

Was looking around for a mtech 1 spoiler for my vert and finding one that is oem and in good condition is not easy.... as I found. So I headed over to DTM fiberworks... I know they get a bad rep around here but is a rear spoiler something to worry about?

The original spoiler is rubber, the DTM spoiler is fiberglass. I wouldn't buy it! You can find the true M-Tech 1 E30 wing for $350 to $400 shipped. Totally worth it considering the DTM wing is $300 plus shipping.

Damn That's Expensive . Here you can find a Used One But In Great Condition
For 50 - 80 euros , My Friend Installed One Last Year for 40 euros , it was a good deal.

anyone have one? would like to see pics of it installed.

well being fiberglass means it's lighter as a positive thing (negative, that it's more fragile),

but how good is the quality and how does the inside part hold down is what i am wondering also.

his pics on ebay show the left side having a bigger gap sort of than the right side on the top of trunk lid.

i e-mailed and asked a little about it and he said its a direct mold of thew unit, so I'm not sure if it would really be off or it's a crappy pic.

*i just e-mailed them again on ebay asking my concerns, awaiting a reply* I do want one, but I'm not gona pay 350-400 for a used wing that is probably fragile or something is gona break on it from being so old and in the sun etc..

i got a nice one for 350. its not fragile at all. if you hold it from one end it does not bend at all. i wouldn't spend money on a knock off when you can have the real thing for $50-100 more.

I bought a nice one on ebay UK for like $280 shipped. Just got it today and it's in good shape. Question I have is what would you guys recommend to touch up the old rubber? Something like Armor All?

why waste your money on a knock off made of fiberglass? The material is the same used in the other spoilers; unless it was put in an oven or in the Sahara why would it be so fragile to the touch?

Its going on the back of your car its not like rock chips are gonna hit it anyways.

The alpina 157 is also an option. They are still available new too.

Honestly I would wait. Good deals still pop up here and there. Also, I'd rather run an e28 mt1 than running a full fiber glass wing.
