MT-2 Pods- cabrios and coupes are not the same!

I'm posting this in the general section because this needs to be settled once and for all. A while back folks were arguing about using vert pods on coupes and vis versa. Well I have what I thought was all vert parts for my MT2 kit. I test fitted everything tonight to discover my door pods didn't seem right. I looked on the back to see the part number. It was a coupe part number, not a vert. Needless to say I'm not very pleased. I've been waiting well over a month for all of the clips to come in, let alone how long it took me to source everything.

All and all it's about 3mm too short. Hopefully vert door pods aren't NLA. :/

    Anyone want to buy them?

they are the same look up part numbers on realoem. gap might be to not hit front pod when opening door. or fake oem parts. I can take a look at my car at lunch.
pic of cabs car, looks like it's there for the reason I said.

just slide it forward about 1.5mm and make the gap 1/2 the distance to the goal line. there is no reason they should be different. cab and coupe doors are the same length.

if the rear quater panel fits then the door should be right . i am basing that on coupe and vert door panels being interchangable and door molding trim but rear quater panel door molding trim are different in length. as previous person stated it may be short in length so pods do not rub. it just pops out at you due to black mtech up against alpine white door.

My car has a gap there as well. It's supposed to.

Cab is a perfectionist. I'm pretty sure he did it right. Here's another pic

it's just poorly installed. Adjust it a bit like the others have said here.

There are all the same, put the fender pod on then look at it again

Hmm my 4 door MT-2 was flush with the edge of the door.....

The alignment is correct, but the two colors contrasting makes it appear as more. I dunno I'll wait till it comes back from paint when all the body panel gaps are correct.
