What am I missing, Power Vert top lid

What's missing other then the cable that goes to the trunk lid. This thing don't latch, it's on my 92 vert with production date 1/92. Top is disconnected to, but don't mind putting it up and down by hand. Or do I have to have it working to have this working?

You need to convert completely to a manual top, so the lid will latch, or, you can make the top manual but the deck lid still powered, if you have the motor still attached. That piece in the middle turns by the motor, pulls those two cables, and latches the deck.

That cable in the right of your pic that's snapped, is only necessary to stop you from opening the trunk with the deck already open.

You are missing the rod assembly from the ball on the shaft, to the lid. Part 2 here.
