I dont know about "that".
The bumpers on my '88 stuck out a good bit. I did what i said in my previous post and they look a lot better.
Front and rear bumper tuck?

If you want to do a slight tuck (and if this thread is still relevant), just install '88 bumper shocks. They're a bit shorter but also still act as shocks. Besides my distaste for the tucked look, it always bothered me that it eliminates any impact absorption ability the bumper would have had.Leave a comment:

I agree. I took my front bumper and bumper shocks off, and rotated them clockwise as far as they would go, which compresses them about .75". No drilling, no mess, and it can be undone if you want. It definitely looks better. If you tuck them too much, you end up with a gap between the bumper and the bumper surrounds on the ends which looks kindof messy in my opinion. This way, its tucked a little and still looks tidy. I plan to do the same to the rear bumper.Leave a comment:

Everyone has their own. I originally wanted to tuck. And then I decided to leave untuck. And now I want to tuck again. Reasons for it (and sorry in advance this may sway your choice)

Then again if your car is clean untucked can be just as sexy

Or you can euro bumper swap or replace your bumper shocks in the future if you didn't like the tuck, or plastic bumper swap. Either way you do you mayne. I've learned that as I change so does my car. What I might not have done months ago might be different now. Luckily you have a black car. Fresh rubber on your bumpers all around including the stuff that covers the bumper. Your car will be $$$. I always loved tucked bumpers on black models. But that is just me. If I took advice from everyone on r3v on what to do with my car I would have made no progress. Everyone has their own fancy. You know it's the right choice when you see a car and say "wow I want that now"
Here is mine. Luckily cabrio shocks were shorter so I didn't have a massive db to begin with.

I saw one with the front bumper tucked, where it overhung the airdam about an inch or so, I actually liked it. But it's your ride sir.Leave a comment:

To give you an idea, this is what it looked like on my old e30. I liked the look at first but then decided it looked better untucked.

I wouldn't do it just because I don't like the tucked look with an early style es front valance. Makes the car look too flat.Leave a comment:
