Black edge molding on ES air damn, rare?

Has anyone else see this black trim on the bottom of an es/is cow catcher air dam before? I can't recall seeing it before. My resto project has it and was wondering if it's OEM, rare, or if I'm just losing my mind and it's as common as the roundel on the hood. The tapered edges make it look factory. Insight?

None of the above. Somebody tacked it on. It actually looks like the rubber moulding we use on the edge of our plexiglass windscreens.

I failed to include the possibility of an aftermarket hack. None the less, I actually kind of dig it.
