Taking trim off around the doors?

I' trying to take the trim off around my doors using the guide here on r3v and i cant for the life of me figure it out.
im stuck at this part

if you have fixed rear side glass use a small flathead to slowly work the inner gasket free of the body. This is hard to describe, but you should understand if you look/poke at it.

Ive been looking at it for 2 days now scratching my head. no clue what im doing

so I got the trim off around the front door but i cant get my fixed quarter glass out an ideas?
