    two door roof rack help

I searched around the forum and I see everyone with roof racks on their four door car but not many on the two doors. if someone could point me in the right direction to figure out what parts to buy or what roof racks will work with a two door car.

Also has to hold a bike safely and lock to the car, I recently moved to hartford and dont want it to get stolen. so any info would help, thanks.

Any roof rack that works on a four door will work on a two door.

You want either Yakima 1a gutter mounts (http://www.yakima.com/shop/racksyste.../1a-raingutter)

    or

    Thule 300 gutter mounts (https://www.thule.com/en-us/us/produ...ack-300-_-1008)

And then whatever size of bars you deem appropriate.

I thought it had to have special adjustable gutter mounts and rails?

also is there a whole kit for sail or i have to piece it together?

Any gutter mount will work and the Yakima stuff is mostly universal.

I just put this together from a bunch of spare parts I had lying around. It was originally on my '85 MR2...

Just something to look out for - there are gutter mounted Yakima racks, which are pretty universal, and then there are the Yakima Q-tower foot pods which have a metal bracket suited to specific car models, i.e. - not universal. If you bought the Q-towers used, you would have to shell out an additional $80 to get the correct metal bracket for your e30 (assuming the seller didn't have an e30) to fit these.
