Help removing early zender side skirts

Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone has any tricks or a decent method for removing glued on side skirts. These are early model zender skirts and they've been on the car for many, many years. The glue is like black rubber and is super strong. I've tried using putty knives, shims and razor blades to pry them off but I've barely made any progress after hours of work. I've also tried 3M adhesive remover and it seems to be helping and loosening up the rubbery glue, but it is still super tough. I'm wondering what method you guys use to battle this 25+ year old glue. Thanks fellas

not going to be easy without damaging your paint.

I have used Guitar string which has worked.
I think the best thing would be to use the string system that windscreen company use

Okay I can try that. Forgot to mention its a parts car, so paint doesn't matter

Heat gun. Also I believe they maybe held in with screws or bolts on the bottoms and ends.

Hey, I had the same thing on my car. I tried a bunch of different methods, but what finally got it off was using straight up gasoline and rubbing with a Scotch Bright Dobie. It took me about 3 pads and A LOT of rubbing, but it finally worked. Be careful when you get close to the paint, I was able to get it all off without scratching the paint.
