Maybe I am butchering the terminology but I am working toward repanting my '89 325 convertible (with a plastic bumper swap) and I am looking for the parts or a kit that contains the 6 pieces of the M-technic kit. These would be the ones that go on the fenders, doors, and rear area before the wheel arches. They have to fit a convertible, and try as I might I can't seem to keep straight what year range of cope my wheel arches equate to.
I am considering Reiger sideskirts, or M-tech skirts. Up front I am undecided on whether to stay with an OEM late valance with an IS lip or go with something aftermarket but I have always liked the cleaner look of the front stock valance and the IS lip. In the rear I have a valance. All bumpers are likely to get the euro trim. Everything will be painted body color.
I don't care if the parts are OEM or aftermarket. I tried running searches here and on Google but with the wrong terminology I am just spinning my wheels.
My search results only stand to confuse me.
I found the RealOEM diagram that I THINK corresponds: http://realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?...03&hg=51&fg=16
I would like to see if there is an aftermarket version for cost purposes. This car is a driver, not a show car or strict restoration. That, plus 51712234021 is NLA.
For those under a rock, I mean the 6 pieces (3 visible here) that extend below the "waist" of the car here:
So any sources for an aftermarket replica version of those parts? I can find the bumpers and valances all day long.
