Metal bumper surrounds interchangeable?

I was wondering if the front diving board surrounds are interchangeable from a 87 Cabrio to a 85 sedan?
I see the side markers are different. But that's all I notice. I have a chance to get some if it's direct swap.
I know the rear aren't interchangeable from the Cabrio.

RealOEM.com shows them as being cabrio specific. Early 85 cars also seem to be specific to themselves as well. 9/85-9/87 are the "newer" early model surrounds.

All true, the early 85 cars have larger sidemarkers kind of like E28s have.

I wish the vert rear surrounds worked because I could just paint a set and get rid of that stupid sparkle mine has...

The front metal bumper surrounds from a convertible are a direct bolt on. The rear bumper surrounds are not interchangeable.

Great! Thanks guys. Yea my rear surround is funky and isn't even flush with the body anymore. I'll have to. Check the junk yards for a more intact one.
