    Replacement top color (56k beware)

So my cabrio will be getting a new top as soon as I get my tax refund. The current top is black and my interior is natur. My wife thinks that a tan top would go well with the exterior and interior colors. I will be getting a tinted rear window and I will have the rear quarter windows tinted as well.I've done a little bit of Photoshop to show the difference. What do you think?

Tan goes with nothing on your exterior, stick with black for sure...

black because you will get crease/dirt lines in the top where it contacts the holding area and top metal supports.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say get the tan. It is NOT gay. I would not tint the windows, though. I've yet to see a rear tinted plastic window on a convertible that looked good.

Of course, I am a bit biased about the tan because I just switched mine to tan from Dark Blue. :)

Actually Aaron Silva's calypso red 318ic has tinted windows on his black top and it looks outstanding. Maybe he'll see this message and post some pics of his top.

As for the color, it seems the majority of folks seem to think the tan is not a good idea. While aesthtically I really like the tan, it was brought to my attention that it will be a lot harder to keep clean. Here in Sacramento, we get a lot of dust that collects on our cars...its easy enough to clean off with a California Car Duster, but the top would be another story. It looks like I will be gettinbg a black top after all.

Thanks for everyone's input on the topic.
