you'd have to modify the mounting holes, most likely, and the shape of the mirror placement on the e36 is smaller than the spot for the mirror placement on the e30. This means you'll have to add material. It won't fit well, and I'm not sure if the mirror adjustment would work correctly.

Just get aftermarket ones if you want them that bad.
