Euro / kidney questions

Well, there is the standard US open-bar style like most of us have, there is the one above with a blockout of the top 1/4 to 1/3 behind the bars, and then there is a completely blocked-off version, which I have never seen on a car.
ECS lists this with no AC, but no photos straight on..

Solid…what is this one?

This has to be a joke. you have 600+ posts and your asking about kidneys and calling them euro grills. i apologize if it isn't actually a joke it just seems trollish.
The kidneys generally are the same; one is "blacked out" with a backing behind the bars, one isn't. No one cares enough to spend top dollar on a different style though like euro grills. they clean up with anything you use to clean plastic or a mirror (i used soap and water and it turned out fine), if the grime doesn't come off use elbow grease. it will chip so watch out.
Also assuming you have ac you have a fan really close to that kidney so yes it would restrict airflow. but idk if it will restrict it enough to overheat your car.Comment

well i mean no offense, i just was wondering if you were trolling. you have to admit the post count can throw people off once in a while.
You can purchase a new chrome piece, although the easiest rout is just to buy another kidney since they are pretty cheap. id sell you one but i just stepped on my extra last week :/ down to just the one on my car now.Comment

I think you'll find the 3 different kidneys are for differing climates - full open (hot climate), part block out (normal), full block out (cold climate). Bit like there are 3 different thermostats - 88 degrees, 80 degrees, 72 degrees.
