    shadowline

any tips for repainting my shadowline. I'm getting my car painted, and I took all the windows out and the trim off, figuring I'd repaint the factory shadowline.

I plan on sanding all the parts lightly with 200 grit (too aggressive?) then washing everything down with some lacquer thinner then spraying the primer then the paint.

I have a quart of SEM trim black paint, but what is the consensus for primers/adhesion promoters for prepping?

I did mine with SEM trim coat and didn't prep it very well. It's held up to this point aside from a couple spots that I scraped up trying to replace the trim clips. I did this about 2 years ago. I started with 250, then 500, prepped with alcohol, then SEM trim coat. I did not primer.

I'll try and find some pics..
