    84-87 front valence to 88+

ok so I'm removing my old valence, and just realized tow hooks might be in the way, are both supposed to be cut off?

I'm not entirely sure what you're talking about, but you know these parts aren't interchangeable, right (unless your talking about something entirely different than I am thinking, but I doubt it)?

Yeah, you have to cut off your old tow hooks.

I have no idea what Kris is talking about.

                    Hacksaw?
Man, if you have powertools, wait. I had to cut off mine to fit my BMP bumper (RIP). That is some serious steel. Took me about an hour and a half with a hacksaw....what a b*tch.

On the side a bit, where can one find info on replacing the diving boards with the plastic bumpers. The info at Lukasbmw.com isn't showing up anymore. Thanks.

its a pretty straight forward swap, just make sure you have all the components of the plastic bumpers, pull the old ones off and slide the new ones in, I think his site was really the only one that documented it

edit: that is if you have an 88, if its 84-87 front is an easy swap, the rear will bolt on but the sides will be too long because of the wheel arches in the rear, trimming is required

Why are you switching valences? Are you going to plastic bumpers, or do you just want the is lip?

I can't wait to see the final product nonetheless!
