    How to Install vert parts?

Anyone know how these 2 parts install on the convertible?

My car has them missing, and I don't want to order and find out replacing them is a pain in the @$$.

    Thanks in advance.

What is that rectangular part, right in the middle, some kind of flap or something? Weird.

There broken on at least 7/10 of e30 verts. They fold in the down position (like in the pic) when the top is put down, and are folded up when the top is up, the frame of the top holds them up right.

OP, to replace those flaps, you need to remove the rear seats, rear door panels, and the clips that hold those flaps in, If I remember correctly, there's 3 clips holding in each side.

Wow, seriously. All of that for a piece that probably broke easily. That seems like it's not getting done this weekend.
        Thanks for the info!

Rear seats and door panels come out in about 5 minutes. Make sure you pull off the rubber weatherstrip/lock strip on the SIDE of the panel (at the door) before you try to pull the panel.

The part in the first pic though just pries out of the tonneau cover. It's held in with grommets, get new ones as yours will be deteriorated with age.

Oh, and that flap also lets you access the latch mechanism on both sides in case your release cables break.
