    Moon roof for e30

Has anyone done this? I heard that there is a Saab moon roof that fits our cars. Is that true?

say one found the moonroof, would it just swap out with the factory body colored cover? or do the rails and crap have to get swapped to? ive seen 2 of them in the junk yard and dont know how extensive the swap would be.

                easy install

The factory moonroof installs like the steel slider, 3 torx bols per side.

Most aftermarket types involved cutting a non-sunroof model to allow their moonroof to pop in.

Yea, I've got a ton of blurry pictures. One of these days I'll get a tripod!

so you're saying, if we have a sunroof already, it's pretty much just a direct swap? which model did that moonroof come off of?

my 1991 318is has one, don't guess it helps but they seem to be more common in the later model e30's ie 1991's.

                            Not impossible

But I did pay a wholelotta $$$. I found it on ebay.com. It was at $265 when I sent the seller an offer for $500. My family lived around the corner from him so I was also able to offer local pick up. It was impulse purchase and I loved it at first. Since I have had it for a while now, the "gee wiz" has worn off a bit.
