I use both Menzerma and Griots products on my cars.
I also use Meguiars Professional when I do other cars.
I would never apply polish, in particular, by hand again. The P-C random orbital does a significantly better job of it than I ever have by hand.
The trick is--preparation. The surface must be as clean as possible, as cool as possible, and the pad must also be as clean as possible. Anything else and you're just introducing new scratches while trying to buff out the old ones.
