      I'd go with OPTION - 1
      Blackout kidneys, leave badge stock

What are you planning with the car anyway? Set-it up or keep it stock?

There is a possibility that if you color the bumper surrounds body color, it may chip later on and it wouldn't look good.

Black the kidney grille and badge.... Tuck the bumpers and leave the trim around them black.

            Thanks for the input guys.

Bing - I'm basically rebuilding it. I got a K&N air filter, am looking at a header/exhaust, and looking at a chip. I'm gonna be using it as a daily driver when I'm done.

Bing - The bumper surrounds on the convertibles is body color. Why would mine chip?

So nobody likes the black bumper idea, huh? Oh well, I guess it'd be a little too much.

Any more opinions, I'd love to hear them.

Not in 1985, I'm talking about the 90's and 91's.

There is no chip availalbe for the L-Jetronic, sorry do disappoint you. The only thing you have going for you is a light chassis and good wieght distibution. So make the best of it and just make the car handle and brake as good as possible. The only way to get cheap power out of the early 318 is basically a motor swap. Good luck with your project.

                      I'd go with #'s 3 and 4.

If you're leaving the bumpers chrome, then leave the kidneys and badge chrome so they will compliment each other.

What are your plans with the window trim, leave them chrome or go shadowline?

Johnathan, I have already started to paint them black. I say that b/c I need to take them off the car and redo them.

Boom-Monkey, I thought Bav auto and places like that had chips for the M10 engine? Maybe I was wrong. If not, maybe a cam from BMP Designs - just to pump up the power a little bit.

So, what I'm feeling so far is that you guys think I need a little bit of chrome on the car to break up the black/silver scheme, right?
