Anyone know of anybody that does them? I know that the e30 never got the type 2 and type 3. Would be nice to find someone that makes them. What do you guys think? Also if that fails i wouldnt mind getting my hands on 16" real deal type 1's... any info on where to get some? Thanks, Dave

There are still Type 2, Type 3 & Type 3 Race replicas available in Asia.....they are 7.5x17" and typically weigh 22-23lbs. I will get some Type 3 Race replicas if a deal on some original 2pc Hartge 16" fall's through.

Calvin Tan's are real ACS Type 1.

If I was still in Japan :( Chrome sets could be had for around $400 shipped. Sold mine for $350 shipped. If you know anyone there, they might be able to help.

Various wheel & tire shops in Malaysia sell them.....no websites though.

The kicker is the shipping costs to the US..........from SE Asia to the US west coast is min US$300.00.

mail them bitches. from germany shipping up to 44 pounds is 59,00 or about $75.00
16 inch wheels get shipped for 150.00 a set.
shipping by post office on packages under 44 pounds is the cheapest. not the quickest but cheapest.
Calvin Tan quoted $500.00 to ship from malasia

Yeah i would like to spend about a grand total.... but for type 3s i'm willing to go for more even though i wouldnt like it. In my opinion they are the best looking ris out there for any bimmer.

You could probably do it for about US$1,000......even if it's over 1k it won't be much more. The rims alone only cost around US$650-750.

Ok so as far as how much i want to spend i'm ok. The only thing is finding these places that sell them, overcoming languauge barriers, and try and not get ripped off. Well i got till the end of the summer to do it.... but i still would like to be ahead of the game.
