i was also thinking of euro moldings painted body color. I think it does make the car look cleaner. Aaron, could you please do a PS on your car for me. We have basically the same car. (minus the wheels suspension and hardtop) hah, thanks90 325is

Trust me. Black and calypso work very well together. Since you have the latter style tails, go with black euro moldings, smoked front indicators, and smoke rear lights. I had smoked rears on my car and I didnt like them. I just dont care for the smoked tails offered for the later style lights.

My 91 is basically a 90, No Difference. I have the early taillights. i like the earlystyle taillights. I like the euro grills and smoked turnsignals.
P.S. Before anyones checked i have already checked out the vin number. It Is a 91 and i think was made in either july or june, i dont remember which. All i know is that if it were made a few mounths later id have small plastic bumpers. :( [/img]90 325is

Andrew my mom used to have a black 91 325i convert like yours. It was made in June.
All I know is that August 91' 325ic's were short bumpers..You missed the short bumpers by a month or so.
why don't you just get the euro chrome bumpers like Ryan? IMHO that would look ridiculous on a carbrio. Then save up $ and get an Alpina euro bumper cabrio front spoiler(exact as Ryans) and get a popular rear apron.
You have the early taillights so I suggest smoked 8)Comment

Im not looking to put that much money into it. Euro bumpers are too hard to find and the front airdam too. Maybe at the time when im ready if i come across some ill change my mind, but for right now im planing on doing the plastic bumper swap. I want to get rid of all the chrome on my car. Im not a big fan of it, it makes it look too classic i think. For now, after i get my wheels(end of the month) ill be searching junk yards for bumpers and the valance. I already have an IS lip. So ill probably be collecting the peices one at a time and then when i have them all ready ill have them painted and then ill put them on the car. I figure it could probably be finished by late June or july. Thanks for the help. I'll probably end up going with black bumper trim. thanks guys.
PS
Aaron. I love your car. Drop an M50 in it :twisted:90 325is

i really like the color coded look ... when i did it to my old car, it look awesome ... like totally different car ... hard to explain, but it makes the e30 look much newer. but i do like the contrast of the black strips too.

My old car came w/ painted bumper trim. I never really decided if I prefered black or the body colored stuff...

Get an M-Tech II kit and you won't have to worry about choosing to keep it black or paint it! :up:Reminiscing...Comment
