Do carbio’s require different side skirts than a normal e30’s?

The M-Tech II kit does require cab specific sideskirts due to the reason Nate mentioned, so I'd assume it holds true for all sideskirts.

For the M-Tech II yes.

For almost any other application of a single long sideskirt that is just tacked on... no. It will still fit fine. You can put it below that extra molding, or remove it and put it above etc. whatever floats your boat.
