Do you mean a tucked rear bumper or a newer style painted bumper?

hmmm...no i read somewhere ..where you drill out the rear bumper shocks and push the bumper in...on the old alum. bumpers like on a 1986 325e....

I tucked my front and rear bumpers on my 86, looks way better.

Pic was taken before that was done though, sorry.

See sig... You can find a rear bumper easily. If your doing the front, might as well get a rear and trim it down.. It may look better if it was painted body color (trim/bumper) but I still say plastic.

jon--whos diving boards will soon be gone.

Post some pics of that when you finish. My car already has plastics, but I just want to see what it would look like out of curiosity. I hated my diving boards on the e30, but on the e28 I really dont mind them at all

How does that work? The US E28 bumpers are almost twice as big as the E30 ones.

I will be sure to document the process with pics. btw, we also have an e28. I am not that keen on the bumpers, but I can live with it. My dad likes the "stock" look but it really needs like an m5 or euro treatment IMO. We've got a front valance on ours though which helps a great deal. I would like to find a rear one for it, but im not sure there is a huge selection. I will probably be posting pictures of the e28 this week if the weather holds....

Yea, having one plastic and one alum. would look kinda awkward. You could always try it if you want. But, maybe try the tucking first, and see how it looks. ;)
