Jordan- *ick I was talking about what you guys are using to repaint your car you know after 241,000 and the paint finally starts to look bad, do you recommend using a polyurethane paint or a laquer paint. If you don't know, thats why you are using laquer at your house, with a polyurethane you need to bake the paint in heat to get it to set, a paint booth, where laquer does not not an accelerant to fix the paint, I know that polyurethane is a harder paint (thicker, tougher) and laquer is not as tough, but drys fast and can be done in your garage, so Jordan what kind of paint is on your car?
I have heard from people that there are advantages to both paints can anyone infrom me on there experiences. Or do alll you guys pay people to paint your cars?

Poly tends to fade with time but is durable, while lacquer likes to crack, since it is less likely to flex... Acrylic is the best way to go.

Erm... acrylic? Laquer? What is this, 1988?
Base clear is the way to go. 2-3 coats of base, wetsand, 2 coats of clear, wetsand, 1-2 more coats clear, wetsand & polish, no way that won't look good. If you're doing a metallic or a pearl, forget the wet sanding, because you'll move the flecks around in the paint. Just DONT get a run the first time, and prepare to live with a little bit of orange peel.
