    Wood Interior Trim Kit

Does anybody have any pictures of e30s with the wood trim kit? I've seen some shitty pictures of Alpinas with it (not sure if it was authentic or not). I've never seen a good quality picture of it. Of the pictures I've seen, I thought it looked pretty good. It'd have to be in the right car of course, but I think that it may look good in my bronzit (which is more of a 'classic' e30 than a 'sporty' one).

Most look awful. The shitty cases of Alpina cars you saw were real. It was that tortise shell walnut. Wood doesnt look good in anything but a sole luxury car and only if it was originally designed to be inlaid into the interior.
    Im now E30less.

Personally, I'm partial to the CF trim (real CF) availalbe from www.exoticwooddash.com

I'll see if I can find pics of the M3 that had it installed. It was sex.

I think CF would look badass in an M3 or an 'is' but my M10 is about as far from a sports car as you can get. I wanted something a little more 'classy'.

I'll bet if you get the right color wood it would look real nice with the bronzit, just nothing dark and nothing all gnarled looking.

My opinion is, wood only belongs in the backseat......with a female compainion.

I hate wood trim. CF looks sweet, or just simple black painted surfaces. Black trim peices own wood ones on like a 330Ci or whatnot.

This thread is in reference to my bronzit e30.

I can't even imagine how horrible carbon-fiber would look in my interior.

Note to future posters: I'm looking for decent pictures of wood-trim interiors, not your opinions about how cool carbon-fiber is.

My thoughts on this: There arent going to be many wood kits out there for the e30 much less a good one. I would say to add class get a nice steering wheel and shift knob. The rest in the one pic seemed over the top and out of place.

Sorry, just giving my insight into interior styling, saying what works. For example, body color trim pieces are tasty in the black 330's I've seen, and the Red E46 in a Euro Tuner......maybe it'd be best if you went with bronzit trim, or whatnot.

but wood doesnt' work in my opinion, and forum members shouldn't let others choose distasteful decisions. (After "Friends don't let friends do drugs.")

One thing you will have to keep in mind Ken is all the kits are going to be stick on so they wont be flush or inlaid with the plastic. There will always be an edge. The only exception might be the cluster surround and the center console. Even then the OBC would need to be covered too to not have exposed edges.

Here's the "shadow sheet" for E30 dashes from www.exoticwooddash.com

                            High quality stuff.

Prices range from $180-$230 +S/H depending on the material. Yes, they offer some real woods including (copied from their site):

                            Dark Burlwood
                            Rosewood
                            and a couple others.

this girl I know said the passeneger seat was big enough... :pimp:  :nice:

I personally think wood would look a little funny in an E30, just doesn't seem to match the car. But, if your interior is tan, and cause your car is bronzit, it might look ok.

I think the above car is a little overdone though.
